Joshua Rogers, a reporter for ChannelsTV in Port-Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

Reports indicate that Rogers was taken from near his home in Rumuosi, Port Harcourt, by the gunmen at around 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.

The journalist was driving his official ChannelsTV car when the criminals approached him, threatened him with a gun, and then drove off with him in the same vehicle.

Rogers had just finished an assignment at the Government House and was returning from Andoni when he was abducted.

It has been reported that the gunmen have contacted his wife and are demanding a ransom of N30 million for his release.

His cameraman has confirmed the incident and is appealing to the abductors to release him without any conditions.
