Casemiro scored in the 89th minute to give Manchester United a 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup on Wednesday night.

After losing to Fulham over the weekend, United needed a win to keep their hopes alive for a trophy this season. Forest, under Nuno Espirito Santo, were aiming to continue their good form.

Antony hit the post early on, while Scott McTominay had two good chances for United. Taiwo Awoniyi posed a threat for Forest on the counterattack.

Both teams had opportunities in the second half, but neither could find the back of the net. The goalkeepers were solid, and it seemed like extra time was on the horizon to determine who would face Liverpool in the next round.

Neither team wanted extra time, especially with United facing the Manchester derby and Forest set to play against Liverpool this weekend.

However, United managed to secure the win when Bruno Fernandes delivered a dangerous cross that Casemiro headed in for the winning goal.
