Singer Brymo expressed his belief that Burna Boy does not meet his musical standards.

He made this statement during an interview on Curiosity Made Me Ask with skit maker, Bae U Barbie. This was in response to Burna Boy’s diss freestyle, where he suggested that Brymo’s music career has declined.

“Is it [the diss freestyle] not Burna Boy lyrics? But he would like to know that nothing in this world would put his name in my song. He no reach my standard,” the singer said.

Brymo claimed he was the best singer in Africa.

“I’m not proud enough. I’m probably the finest vocalist on the continent. Better than anybody. I’m not thinking. I know this,” he said.

“And yeah, even Twitter guys can’t disagree with him despite the hate. You can win an Award, but that doesn’t mean you’re the best man for that award.”

This statement comes after Burna Boy criticized Brymo in a freestyle with his band last October.

Brymo had accused Burna Boy of stealing his music, specifically from his upcoming album ‘Macabre’, claiming that Burna Boy’s songs ‘City Boys’ and ‘I Told Them’ sampled his title track.
