Manchester United winger Antony has been dropped by the Brazilian national team owing to claims leveled against him by his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin.
Authorities in Brazil and Manchester are investigating the accusations.
Gabriela Cavallin, Antony’s ex-girlfriend, claimed that the Manchester United winger, who joined the club from Ajax for €95 million on August 30, 2022, abused her and caused her bodily injury during their relationship.
Antony allegedly raped her when she was pregnant, sexually assaulted her, ruined her breast implant, and harmed her.
Their relationship, she claims, became so poisonous that the 23-year-old Brazilian international threatened to throw her out of a moving car.
Gabriela Cavallin supported her assertions with evidence presented to authorities in Brazil and England.
Gabriela sparked the issue on Monday, September 4, 2023, when she revealed how terrible her relationship with Antony was to the Brazilian website UOL.
“I was really scared that I wouldn’t be able to get out of the house,” the 22-year-old Brazilian model was reported as saying.
“Antony locked the door and wouldn’t let me go out. I had my finger open, all hurt. He broke my things, and took my passport.”
