Donyell Malen scored a goal against his old team as Borussia Dortmund tied 1-1 with PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 match.

The 25-year-old Dutch player scored in the 24th minute by dribbling past two defenders and shooting a rising shot into the net.

PSV had more chances in the first half, but Malik Tillman missed the target twice, and Johan Bakayoko also missed with a difficult volley.

PSV kept up the pressure in the second half and equalized with a controversial penalty from Luuk de Jong in the 56th minute.

Despite dominating the rest of the game, PSV couldn’t score again to win. The teams will play the second leg in Germany on March 13.
