Armed bandits have carried out a deadly attack on Gidan Zuma village in Zamfara State, resulting in the deaths of 10 individuals and the abduction of 12 residents.

According to a resident who requested anonymity for security reasons, the attackers arrived at the village on Sunday night and began shooting indiscriminately.

The sudden attack took the villagers by surprise, causing them to flee for safety.

Tragically, ten people were killed during the attack, and the terrorists kidnapped 12 others.

The source expressed disappointment that, despite the community’s efforts to defend itself against bandit attacks, they were unable to fend off the assailants this time.

“The bandits entered in the night and started shooting at people, residents scampered for safety because the attack was sudden.

“Our people have always been defending this village from bandits’ invasion. But we were caught off guard yesterday; 10 of our people were killed,” he said.
