Prominent Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze, commonly known as Aki, has turned to social media to advise fans not to ask for money in his direct message (DM).

The 45-year-old actor issued the warning in a popular video uploaded on his Instagram page.

In the video, he expresses his rage, saying that individuals have turned his DM into an industrial bank.

Aki said: “Guys, I dey vex. I’m not happy. This is getting out of hand. If I open my DM every time, all I see is oga, bros, please. How can you people turn my DM to Bank of Industry?

“The way you people are begging is as if we don’t have responsibilities. If I start sharing the money like that, it will finish. Imagine someone begging me for $35,000, approximately N27 million. Another one was asking me for $12,000 he wants to open a shop.

“You guys have made it look like we packed this money somewhere and it is a must that we cater for your needs. No! It is not a must. This economic crunch is biting harder on everybody.”
