To reshape public opinion about her, popular content creator Amarachi Amusi, also known as Ashmusy, has opted to modify her wardrobe choices, forsaking revealing outfits after facing stigmatization as a prostitute.

In a candid conversation with Big Brother Naija ex-housemate on the ‘Spill with Phyna’ podcast, Ashmusy recounted her decision, stating, “Before my recent rebranding, I used to dress provocatively. Like many young women, I felt inclined to showcase my body, unaware of the negative perceptions it attracted.”

She further explained, “Despite my extensive work behind the scenes, managing businesses, and participating in daily advertising campaigns that enabled me to purchase a car and a house, it was disheartening to be unjustly labeled as someone who relied on men for my success.”

After deep thinking, Ashmusy realized the disparity between her intentions and public perception, admitting, “Upon reflecting on my past conduct, I came to understand that my attire inadvertently conveyed a different message than intended. While my aim was to exude playfulness, I unintentionally exposed intimate areas of my body.”

She concluded, “I’ve learned that if one desires to be perceived as a woman of dignity, one must dress in a manner that commands respect and admiration, refraining from revealing sensitive parts of the body.”
