The Court of Appeal in Abuja has confirmed Julius Abure as the National Chairman of the Labour Party, LP.

Allub Times reports that the appellate court overturned the ruling of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday, allowing Abure and two others to resume their roles as national party officials.

Justice Hamman Barka stated that the high court’s decision to take jurisdiction over the case was incorrect.

After examining Abure’s challenge to the high court’s ruling, Justice Barka and the two other Justices of the Court of Appeal agreed that the appeal was valid and should be upheld.

Justice Barka pronounced, “The lower court’s judgement is set aside,” and ordered the respondents to compensate Abure with N1 million.
