Alexis Sanchez has signed a one-year contract with Inter, returning to San Siro a season after leaving for Marseille.
The Chile international has now achieved a spectacular return to Serie A following a stint in Ligue 1 after opting to mutually end his contract with the Nerazzurri ahead of the 2022-23 season.
The 34-year-old, who previously joined Inter on loan from Manchester United before making the move permanent, had a successful first season, winning Serie A, Coppa Italia, and Supercoppa Italiana.
Sanchez is the latest fresh face brought in by Simone Inzaghi this season, following in the footsteps of Juventus midfielder Juan Cuadrado and Bayern Munich goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
Furthermore, the forward will bring much-needed veteran experience to a team that has lost several of its most distinguished players this offseason, including Samir Handanovic, Edin Dzeko, Marcelo Brozovic, and Milan Skriniar.
Sanchez could make his second Inter debut before the end of the month, as the Nerazzurri face Cagliari on Monday.
