Bayern Munich have reportedly agreed to pay more than €100 million to get Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
After failing with at least three bids for England captain, Bayern Munich have finally persuaded him to cave, according to David Ornstein, who reports that the Bavarians have reached a deal with Tottenham to purchase their star man for more than €100 million (£86 million/$110 million).
So it’s now Kane’s turn. According to reports, the 30-year-old has decided that this summer is the best time to leave Tottenham Hotspur, where he has become the club’s all-time leading striker.
A move to the Bundesliga champions appears to be enticing, albeit it is unclear whether Tottenham’s talisman, who accepted terms with Bayern earlier in the summer window, will eventually complete the swap.
Kane’s contract will end in 2024, and he will most likely be able to choose from a slew of Europe’s top clubs interested in signing him on a free transfer.
Tottenham, meanwhile, kicks off their Premier League season on Sunday against Brentford, and it’s unclear whether the recent developments mean Kane will be ineligible for selection. Keep an eye on this space!
