Former Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike made President Bola Tinubu‘s list of nominees for ministerial positions as announced by the Senate on Thursday.
Those on the list, as disclosed by Senate President Godswill Akpabio at Thursday’s plenary, include Abubakar Momoh, Yusuf Maitama Sule, Ahmad Dangiwa, Anachu Muzawa, Uche Nnaji, Betta Edu, Doris Aneth Uzoka, David Umahi.
Others are: Nyesom Wike, Muhammad Badaru, Nasir El-Rufai, Nkiru Oyejiocha, Olubumbi Tunji Ojo, Stella Okotete, Uju Kennedy Ohaneye and Bello Muhammad Goroyo.
Others are Dele Alake, Lateef Fagbemi, Mohammad Idris, Olawale Edun, Waheed Adebayo Adelabu, Suleiman Ibrahim, Ali Patteh, Abubakar Kyari, John Eroh, Sani Abubakar Danladi, Ekperipe Ekpo and Professor Joseph.
The final list, which must include at least 36 people to meet constitutional criteria, is expected to be given to lawmakers before the confirmation process is completed.
The list was released on the last day for Mr Tinubu to submit his ministerial nominees or risk breaking a recent amendment to the Nigerian Constitution that gave the president 60 days after inauguration to assemble a cabinet.
