No Problems With Osimhen’s New Contract Talks — Agent

Osimhen's agent, Roberto Calenda, publicly criticized rumours that his client was unwilling to sign a new deal with the Scudetto winners. Osimhen was a vital figure in Napoli's successful championship defense last season, and with two years left on his current deal, the club is desperate to ensure his future, despite interest from other big European clubs.

Victor Osimhen’s representative has dismissed suggestions of potential problems with his client’s new contract with Napoli as “fake news.”

Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, publicly criticized rumours that his client was unwilling to sign a new deal with the Scudetto winners. Osimhen was a vital figure in Napoli’s successful championship defense last season, and with two years left on his current deal, the club is desperate to ensure his future, despite interest from other big European clubs.

Calenda responded to Twitter to dispute a claim from the Naples-based tabloid Il Mattino that stated the Nigeria international was still looking for a way out, calling it “fake news.”

Calenda wrote on Twitter: “I read in Il Mattino that ‘Calenda has no intention of renewing in the summer and that he wants to explore all avenues in the market first.’ Fake news.”

According to the agent’s reaction, Victor Osimhen remains dedicated to Napoli and is prepared to extend his stay at the club. While whispers of interest from teams such as PSG and Bayern Munich persist, Osimhen’s current focus appears to be on committing his future to his current squad.

Aurelio De Laurentiis, the club’s president, has stated unequivocally that he has no intention of selling the 24-year-old striker this summer and has put a high price tag of €150 million (£129 million/$168 million) for any potential buyers.

With the agent denying the contract reports, the focus now switches to talks between Napoli and Osimhen about a possible extension. The club is eager to retain his services in the long term, recognizing his importance to the team’s success.
