Charles Oputa, alias Charly Boy, has reacted to the drama surrounding Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, a candidate for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), who admitted to using her phone to inflate her score to 362.
Recall that Mmesoma, a 19-year-old student of Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, Uruagu Nnewi, protested that she scored 362 after the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) released the scores of candidates who applied for admission, and the subsequent announcement of Nkechiyere Umeh as the candidate with the highest score of 360.
However, Mmesoma admitted to falsifying her results, according to a committee formed by the Anambra state government to probe her accusations.
Charly Boy responded on Twitter on Sunday, saying Mmesoma fooled many people, including himself, but that she learned forgery from political figures.
He wrote, “Mmesoma Ejikeme fooled many, including me, check out the fluency with which she defended herself with such innocence. These children na wa, ooo.
“She is still a brilliant girl so let’s not be in a hurry to destroy her. The parents have a lot of counselling to do with her, by the way, who never fuckup, raise ur hand.
“She learned work from leaders that believed that forgery is good, plus those who never found their WAEC results till date. Am sure she was in dis Naija as INEC was manipulating Nigeria electoral process.”
