Former President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that running Nigeria is one of the most difficult undertakings in life.

Buhari emphasized this in his Sallah message, which was signed by his spokeswoman, Garba Shehu, on Tuesday, emphasizing that leadership requires the participation and support of all citizens.

“Leading a country like Nigeria is one of the hardest challenges in life,” Buhari was quoted as saying.

The former president urged all Nigerians to wholeheartedly support President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

He added, “Leadership is a challenging task that demands the sacrifices and support of the citizens,” he said.

Buhari also wished Nigerian Muslims a happy Eid and “to those on pilgrimage, Hajj Mabrur and a safe return home”.

On May 29, 2023, the Katsina-born former president finished his obligatory two-term mandate of eight years and turned over control to Tinubu. Buhari also served as Nigeria’s military leader from December 1983 to August 1985.
