Nigerian singer Ikuforiji Olaitan, popularly known as Oxlade, has revealed that he lost endorsement deals worth over N400 million after a private video of him was leaked online.

The leaked video, which featured Oxlade with an unidentified woman, was originally shared on Snapchat in February 2022, causing a lot of controversy at the time.

During an interview on the Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast, Oxlade explained that he was being blackmailed with the video before it was leaked to the public.

Although he initially felt relieved when the video was leaked because it put an end to the blackmail, Oxlade admitted that the scandal had a negative impact on his family, mental health, and professional image.

He shared that the scandal led him into a difficult period, and he even sought rehabilitation in the UK to cope with the aftermath.
