Waje Speaks Out Against Being Labeled ‘Underrated’ In Music Industry

Nigerian singer Waje has expressed her discomfort with being labeled as an “underrated artist.”

Despite her fans, particularly on social media, often referring to her as “underrated” and arguing that her talent and contributions merit greater recognition, Waje revealed in the latest episode of the Secrets Behind the Scenes podcast that she prefers not to be labeled as such.

She elaborated that being termed “underrated” is not a compliment, as some might assume it to be. 

Waje emphasized the power of words and stated, “I do not like being addressed as an underrated artist.” She believes that one’s perception of success is personal and should not be defined by external labels.
