In a startling claim, comedian and show promoter Mr Jollof has noted that Afrobeat singer, Burna Boy, declined a staggering offer of N1 billion to perform at a concert arranged by him and a group of investors in Warri, Delta State.

According to Mr Jollof, they approached Burna Boy’s management team with a generous offer of $1 million, equivalent to N1.3 billion naira, for the performance.

However, their proposal was rebuffed because it did not meet Burna Boy’s standard fee. The comedian took to Instagram to share this revelation.

In his Instagram post, Mr Jollof expressed in Pidgin English, “Myself and some investors reached out to Burna Boy’s team for a concert in Delta State, offering One Million US Dollars (equivalent to 1.3 billion Naira at today’s rate). Guess what? They deemed it too small. Burna Boy has now transcended the Nigerian music scene because we did not fully harness his potential before he gained global recognition. This is no laughing matter.”
