Family Announces Funeral Arrangements For Late Access Holdings CEO, Herbert Wigwe

The family of the late Herbert Wigwe, former Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Access Holdings Plc, has announced his burial arrangements.

Wigwe, along with his wife and son, tragically died in a helicopter crash in the United States. Also on board was Abimbola Ogunbanjo, former Group Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), during the crash in early February.

The burial ceremonies will commence with a tribute to Wigwe’s professional legacy at Eko Hotel in Lagos on March 4.

The final service will take place at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Lion of Judah Parish, Isiokpo, Ikwerre LGA, Rivers, on March 10.

Separate ceremonies will honor the lives of his son, Chizi, and wife, Chizoba, on March 5 at Eko Hotel in Lagos, followed by a night of tributes the next day at the same venue.

A combined service of songs will be held on March 7 at RCCG, Resurrection Parish, Lekki, with Christian wake-keeping at Wigwe University, Isiokpo, Ikwerre LGA, Rivers.

The funeral and private internment service will be held on March 9, 2024.
