In only a day, Eric Dier will have completed his transfer to Bayern Munich, according to reports.

The Tottenham defender is in Germany for a medical check-up before joining Thomas Tuchel‘s team in a reported £2.5 million agreement.

Ange Postecoglou has Dier out of favour at Spurs, and he has been told he can go this month.

If all goes as planned, Dier will join Harry Kane, his former teammate at Bayern and his international team.

Dier is in Munich to complete the transfer, as announced by Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel.

He is an expert at playing center-back. At a press conference, Tuchel stated, “He has also played as a number six in the Premier League, but not anymore for a long time.”

He can play in the back three as well as at right or left centre back, which is why we are getting him for that position.

The major reason we acquired him was to free up Leon Goretzka to play in midfield rather than having to transition to centre back.

Regarding other roles, we’ll have to wait and see.

Radu Dragusin, a centre defender for Genoa who is closing on a £25 million transfer to London, will take Dier’s place at Spurs.

Right back Djed Spence, who was sent back from his season-long loan at Leeds, is predicted to go in the other direction after falling out of favour.

Bayern Munich’s tardy formal bid for Romanian Dragusin on Tuesday night cast doubt on the deal.

Bayern has revived its interest in Tottenham’s Dier, who is completely open to heading to Germany this month, as a result of the defender’s decision to join Spurs.
