FCT, Abuja – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after his official visits to Saudi Arabia and Guinea-Bissau.

The president arrived in Abuja after participating in the Independence Day ceremony in Guinea-Bissau.

Earlier, we had reported Tinubu’s departure from Guinea-Bissau following his attendance at the nation’s Independence Day ceremony.

Guinea-Bissau celebrated its 50th Independence Anniversary on September 24, 2023, but the government decided to hold all the celebrations on November 16, 2023.

Before visiting Guinea-Bissau, Tinubu went to Saudi Arabia to perform a pilgrimage.

While in Saudi Arabia, Tinubu aimed to attract foreign direct investment and raise capital for necessary infrastructure.

He signed preliminary agreements on energy-related cooperation and also secured a multi-billion dollar infrastructure finance facility from the Islamic Development Bank.

This funding will be used to support various infrastructure projects at both the federal and sub-national levels in Nigeria.
