President Bola Tinubu says he has complete faith in his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Tinubu revealed this on Monday while presiding over his administration’s fourth Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in the Presidential Villa’s Council Chamber in Abuja.
The President acknowledged that his administration will make mistakes and stated that he is willing to accept responsibility for those mistakes.
As a result, President Tinubu declared that all slanderous attacks against the former Speaker of the House of Representatives must cease immediately.
He wrote: “First of all, let me reiterate to all of you that I’ve heard the stories flying around. Mistakes will be made, and perfection is only for God Almighty. I have 100% confidence in the integrity of my chief of staff, RT hon@femigbaja. All campaigns of calumny against him must stop forthwith! If I make mistakes, I’m ready to own up to it.”
The president’s allies, according to a Daily Post report, are lobbying for Gbajabiamila’s dismissal over the suspected sale of appointments.
The report alleged the Chief of Staff has substituted most names recommended by the President for appointments since Tinubu took office.
According to the platform, one such instance was the change of the name of the Ekiti Resident Electoral Commission (REC) with the name of a former commissioner under former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi.
