The winners of the 2023 Ghana Music Awards USA were announced over the weekend at the Lincoln Theatre in Columbus, Ohio.
The project, which was launched in 2020, intends to recognize Ghanaian musicians living abroad, primarily in the United States, while also promoting the country’s music and culture globally.
This year’s notable winners include reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artist of the Year Black Sherif, who won Hip Hop/Hiplife Artist of the Year, Camidoh, who won Afrobeats/Afropop Artist of the Year, and Samini, who won Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year.
