President Bola Tinubu will pay a visit to Ogun State’s traditional rulers on Thursday.
The President will make stops in Abeokuta and Ijebu-Ode, where he would meet with Oba Sikiru Adetona, the Awujale and Paramount ruler of Ijebuland, and Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, the Alake of Egbaland, respectively.
Babatunde Olaotan, an adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun, revealed this information in an invitation letter addressed to All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and supporters on Wednesday.
The reason for President Tinubu’s visit, however, has not been revealed.
The invitation, signed by Governor Dapo Abiodun, invited APC leaders, elders, and supporters in Ogun East Senatorial District to gather at Awujale’s residence at 8:30 am, while those in Ogun Central and Ogun West were instructed to convene at the Alake’s place at 10:30am.
“You’re cordially invited by Governor Dapo Abiodun – CON to welcome His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu – GCFR who will be paying us a visit tomorrow, 29th of June, 2023 in Ijebu-Ode and Abeokuta.
“All our party leaders, elders and supporters in Ogun East Senatorial District should converge at Awujale’s place by 8:30am while our party leaders, elders, members and supporters in Ogun Central and Ogun West should gather at the Alake’s place by 10.30am,” the invitation read.
