Tinubu Signs Student Loan Bill Into Law

President Tinubu promised to pay undivided attention to youth education in his acceptance address shortly after being proclaimed the winner of the February 25 election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed the Student Loan Bill into law on Monday.

Dele Alake, the president’s media aide, revealed this to State House Correspondents on Monday evening in Abuja.

According to him, the bill will allow students in the country to obtain interest-free loans for the duration of their education.

On May 25, the bill was passed by the House of Representatives.

President Tinubu promised to pay undivided attention to youth education in his acceptance address shortly after being proclaimed the winner of the February 25 election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He also promised to cease university strikes and give tertiary institutions autonomy.
