El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna State, and others were not confirmed because their security clearance had not yet been received by the Senate.

The Nigerian Senate completed the assessment of all 48 ministerial nominees forwarded to it by President Bola Tinubu on Monday.

However, 45 of the 48 nominations were confirmed by the legislature, while three were not.

Those who were not confirmed were Kaduna State’s immediate past governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Stella Okotete, and Abubakar Sani Danladi.

El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna State, and others were not confirmed because their security clearance had not yet been received by the Senate.

Senate plenary has been adjourned till 8:30 p.m.
