Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Wizkid has criticized music executive Don Jazzy in response to a comment made by Mavin signee Ladipoe.

Ladipoe, a rapper signed to Don Jazzy’s label, made fun of Wizkid for his statement about hip hop being dead.

“Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own,” Ladipoe wrote via X.

Responding to Ladipoe’s comment after a fan called attention to the post on Monday morning, Starboy Records boss said, “lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer. Next.”

He reposted two X posts that implied he was calling Don Jazzy a social media influencer.
