The Reds’ forward duo, Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez, both scored twice in the second half, showcasing their dominance and extending Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League table.
Despite Mohamed Salah‘s absence, Jota and Nunez displayed their clinical skills, leading Liverpool to a resounding 4-0 victory against Bournemouth.
Jota played a crucial role in setting up Nunez for the opening goal early in the second half. The Portuguese forward then went on to score two goals of his own, while Nunez struck again in stoppage time to seal the win.
In the first half, Jurgen Klopp’s team struggled to create opportunities and failed to take a single shot from inside the Bournemouth box. However, they showed glimpses of potential danger. The team’s performance improved significantly in the second half when Ibrahima Konate’s long pass found Curtis Jones, who then set up Jota to assist Nunez.
Overall, Liverpool demonstrated their ability to get the job done even without Salah, with Jota and Nunez proving to be a lethal partnership in their convincing victory over Bournemouth.
With only 20 minutes remaining, the former Benfica player skillfully passed the ball to substitute Cody Gakpo, who then found Jota. Jota, the attacker, executed a superb finish. Later, Conor Bradley delivered a pass to Jota inside the penalty area. Although Jota initially mishandled his shot, he managed to blast it into the net.
Finally, Nunez concluded the game with an excellent finish after receiving a cross from Joe Gomez.
