Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has been inaugurated as the fifth democratically elected Governor of Kogi State.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre in Lokoja, the State capital, and was conducted by the Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Josiah Mejabi.

Ododo took the oath of office at exactly 2:27pm, following his Deputy, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, who had been sworn in at 2:18pm.

The ceremony was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, who represented President Ahmed Bola Tinubu. The event was met with enthusiasm from a large crowd of dignitaries and well-wishers.
