President Bola Tinubu has introduced a new directive to boost the Nigerian economy by promoting the use of locally made products.
This was revealed by Tinubu’s special adviser on media and publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Friday.
According to Ngelale, “There has never been a more important time in our history to actively agree that we will patronize and purchase made-in-Nigeria products across all value chains, across all sectors.”
Ngelale encouraged citizens to report any irregularities they notice and assured them that the government is dedicated to effectively addressing such issues.
He also mentioned that Tinubu’s administration is prioritizing the support of micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs) through the Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme, in addition to promoting local production and stabilizing currency fluctuations.
”Under this initiative, over one million Nigerian businesses will receive conditional grants of up to N50,000 per nano enterprise, providing crucial financial support during challenging economic times,” he added.
