In accordance with their respective establishment Acts, President Bola Tinubu has approved the repatriation of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to the Office of the Vice President for oversight.

The President has also approved a formal structure for the Office of the Vice President, as well as an appropriate number of technical and administrative aides who will work with the Vice President in the discharge of his responsibilities, according to a terse statement signed by Olusola Abiola, Director of Information in the Office of the Vice President, on Tuesday.

Remember that the immediate-past government of President Muhammadu Buhari removed both NEMA and NAHCON from the supervision of the Office of the Vice President, in violation of existing laws.
