President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to the Ezeife family, the people, and the government of Anambra State following the death of Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife, former governor of the state.
Ajuri Ngelale, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, made this announcement in a statement on Friday.
Chief Ezeife, also known as Okwadike of Igbo-Ukwu, served as the governor of Anambra from 1992 to 1993 and passed away at the age of 85 on Thursday.
Reacting to his death, Tinubu praised the significant impact of the former federal permanent secretary on Nigeria’s political landscape and leadership.
He described his passing as a painful loss.
The President acknowledged the contributions Chief Ezeife made in shaping public discourse and governance in Nigeria, as well as laying the foundation for progress in his state.
President Tinubu offered prayers for the repose of his soul and encouraged his loved ones to find comfort in his lasting legacy.
