Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, faced scrutiny from an X user known as Christopher after urging Nigerians to persevere through tough times.
Seyi had taken to Instagram to rally support for his father, likening him to a modern-day “Moses” leading the nation to prosperity. He urged citizens to trust in the leadership and endure present challenges for future gains.
However, Christopher quickly responded, highlighting the exorbitant cost of Seyi Tinubu’s Richard Mille wristwatches.
According to Christopher, each watch is valued at $210,000, totaling a staggering N336,000,000. He pointed out that Seyi Tinubu owns three of these luxury timepieces, amounting to a billion naira.
This contrast between Seyi Tinubu’s affluent lifestyle and his call for endurance amid hardship sparked a debate on social media about the responsibility of the elite during times of national struggle.
