Shettima Visits Kaduna Over Abduction Of School Children [PHOTOS]

Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in Kaduna State on Saturday to assess the situation following the kidnapping of 280 schoolchildren and teachers from the joint Government Secondary and LEA Primary School in Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area.

Upon arrival, Shettima was welcomed by the Governor of the State, Uba Sani, the Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Abbas, the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Liman, and other senior government officials.

The Vice President expressed his condolences to the governor and the people of Kaduna State regarding the unfortunate incident.

It is important to note that the bandits attacked the LEA Primary School in Kuriga around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, shortly after the morning assembly, and kidnapped the students and some staff members.
