Several Germans Killed By Hamas — Berlin

A small number of German nationals are suspected to have "fallen victim to Hamas terror," according to ministry spokesperson Christian Wagner, who did not elaborate.

According to the German Foreign Ministry, several German citizens were killed following the devastating attack launched by Palestinian militant group Hamas against Israel earlier this month.

A small number of German nationals are suspected to have “fallen victim to Hamas terror,” according to ministry spokesperson Christian Wagner, who did not elaborate.

He noted that Berlin would only formally announce the deaths when relatives were notified.

According to the foreign ministry, there are eight known incidents of German captives being seized and carried into the Gaza Strip by Hamas.

Wagner stated on Wednesday that the incidents concerned a “low double-digit number of people,” without going into further detail.

Hundreds of foreigners were killed, injured, or kidnapped after Hamas launched an offensive on Israel on October 7.

According to Israeli officials, the bloodiest attack in Israel’s 75-year history killed at than 1,400 people, largely civilians, inside the country.

According to Hamas-controlled Gaza authorities, Israel has retaliated with bombardments that have killed over 3,000 people, predominantly civilians, in the Gaza Strip.
