Taylor Ward and Riyad Mahrez married on Monday, exchanging vows in a formal ceremony in London.
The Manchester City player and model exchanged vows in front of their loved ones at the city’s The Londoner Hotel. Mahrez and Ward, who have a daughter named Mila, were previously married in a Muslim ceremony in January 2022, and The Sun reports that a third ceremony is planned for later this year.
He and his ex-wife, Rita Johal, with whom he was married for six years, have two children. According to The Mail, Johal, 28, previously stated that the couple’s divorce was caused by the footballer’s relocation to Manchester City and that the Algerian sometimes felt overwhelmed by the burden of competing for such a prominent team. Mahrez joined City from Leicester in 2018 for a cost of £60 million after helping the club win the Premier League title in 2016.
Following the event, Mahrez became a member of the Algerian National Team. The Desert Warriors will meet Tanzania in the Africa Cup of Nations final qualification round on Thursday night.
