The 2022/23 UEFA Champions League final will be overseen by the same referee and crew who officiated the 2022 FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and France, which the Albiceleste won 4-2 on penalties following a 3-3 tie.

According to UEFA.com, the UEFA Referees Committee stated that Polish referee Szymon Marciniak will officiate the UEFA Champions League final against Manchester City and Inter Milan, together with his crew members Pawel Sokolnicki and Tomas Listkiewicz.

Marciniak will be in charge of his first Champions League final, having served as the fourth official in the 2017/18 final between Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Marciniak officiated Manchester City‘s 4-0 semi-final second leg win over Real Madrid this season.

The 2022/23 UEFA Champions League final will be held on June 10 at Turkey’s Ataturk Olympic Stadium.
