Miss Kamsiyochukwu Nkechinyere Umeh, the authentic highest scorer in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME), has stated that Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent, Deeper Christian Life Ministry, is her biggest role model.

Umeh, a student at Deeper Life High School in Lagos, which Kumuyi started in September 2010, got 360 out of 400 in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) UTME this year.

During an interview with Arise News on Friday, July 7, Umeh stated that while America’s Ben Carson is one of her role models, Pastor Kumuyi is her greatest.

She said: “Dr Ben Carson is one of my role models, because in spite of his background and where he came from, he has achieved so much, I think I have read all his books, ‘Gifted hands,’ ‘Think Big’ and ‘The big picture’. I have read those three books, and when I read those books, I feel so inspired, like I want to be like him.

“As for Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, he is my greatest role model, like he is the proprietor of my school and we have services, Deeper Life services in my school and anytime he comes up to preach, we are awed by they way he carried himself, how he is not afraid to say what needs to be said and the respect people have for him, I have not met him but I will really like to.”
