Residents of Otukpo in Benue took to the streets on Monday morning to protest the high tuition fees and lack of job opportunities for locals at the Federal University of Health Sciences in Otukpo, Benue State.
The protesters walked around the town and the university’s temporary site, expressing their frustration with the expensive tuition fees and the institution’s refusal to hire people from the community.
They also mentioned that their children are being denied admission to the university.
FUHSO is a university that focuses on providing education in specialized fields in a more accessible and cost-effective way.
