President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja from the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Tinubu left Addis Ababa on Monday morning and arrived in Abuja around 3:40 p.m.

During his time in Ethiopia, the Nigerian leader actively took part in the 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council, engaged in bilateral meetings, and attended various events on the sidelines of the AU summit.

Tinubu also participated in high-level meetings with other African leaders to discuss institutional reforms of the African Union, peace and security, specific issues like climate change, and how the continental body can be involved in the G20.

The theme of the year’s summit is ‘‘Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems for Increased Access to Inclusive, Lifelong, Quality, and Relevant Learning in Africa’’.

The President, along with several ministers and other high-ranking government officials, spent three days in the East African country during their trip.
