Police Nab Six For Receiving Stolen Tricycles In Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested six individuals for reportedly receiving stolen tricycles.

The arrests were made on Wednesday, March 20, as part of efforts to crack down on tricycle theft, according to a statement released by the command on Sunday.

The suspects, according to the statement, include Idi Abdullahi, aged 20 and resident of Rumde Baru, Jimeta, Yola North; Mohammad Tukur, 21 years old and resident of Rimergo, in Borno State; and Umar Hassan, aged 33, resident of Rimergo, Borno State.

The other suspects are Umar Yusha’u, aged 26 and resident of Mubi South in Adamawa State; Usman Ladan, aged 22, from Rumde Baru in Jimeta, Yola North; and Abubakar Idrisa, aged 23, from Rimergo, Borno State.

“Following thorough investigations conducted, the principal suspects were promptly charged to court and remanded in a correctional center pending investigation,” the police stated.

The state Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris Falling, praised the Anti-Shilla Squad officers for capturing the suspects. He encouraged the public to stay alert and work together with the police to eliminate criminals from their communities.
