The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon Moses Thomas Sule, and his deputy, Hon Gwottaon, have both resigned from their positions.

Gabriel Dawang, the member representing Pankshin North, has been elected as the new speaker of the Assembly.

Hon Timothy Dantong, who represents Riyom constituency, has become the new Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.

The exact reasons for their resignations are unclear at this time, but it is likely related to the political instability in the state.
