Peter Obi Makes N10 Million donation To Anambra Varsity

Former Governor of Anambra and Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the last general election, Mr. Peter Obi, has made a significant donation of 10 million naira to the newly established University of the Niger in the state.

The generous donation was announced during the orientation program for the pioneer students of the institution held at the Archbishop C. J. Patterson Auditorium in Onitsha.

In his speech at the event, Obi highlighted the institution as a faith-based and entrepreneurial university.

He emphasized that the faith-based aspect emphasizes the institution’s commitment to moral and ethical principles, while the entrepreneurial focus aims to produce students with a mindset geared towards entrepreneurship.

During his visit, Obi also visited the Iyi-Enu Mission Teaching Hospital, which is a branch of the University. He expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the work and donated an additional 10 million naira to support the University’s further development.

In the orientation program, Prof. Barth Nnaji, the Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, encouraged the first batch of students to stay committed to their studies.

He also shared insights into the institution’s unique principles and values.
