Nigerian singer Omah Lay expressed his belief that the world would be greatly impacted if the Super Eagles of Nigeria emerged victorious in the ongoing 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Omah Lay made these remarks during a conversation with West Ham defender Kurt Zouma, a snippet of which was shared on the club’s social media platform on Saturday.
Reflecting on Nigeria’s performance in the AFCON, Omah Lay remarked, “It’s remarkable. The level of excitement among the people is evident, and the jubilation is palpable. It’s truly remarkable to witness.”
Expressing optimism about Nigeria’s chances, he added, “I have high hopes that this could be our year. The world will be astounded! It will truly shake. Despite my busy schedule, I may not immerse myself in football as much, but I am certain that a victory in the AFCON will be monumental.”
The Super Eagles are set to face the hosts, Cote d’Ivoire, in the final later Sunday.
