Amid the ongoing trend of social media backlash directed at Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has strongly criticized this criticism.
Adeboye faced a barrage of criticism on social media platforms following reports of his statement that “Nigeria’s problems are spiritual.”
In response to this backlash against the religious leader, Odumodublvck highlighted a stark contrast between the treatment of clerics in Christianity and Islam.
He pointed out that Muslims generally refrain from insulting their religious leaders, unlike some Christians. Odumodublvck stressed the importance of showing respect to Adeboye, particularly considering his seniority and age, which he feels is lacking among certain Christian youths.
Expressing his thoughts on the matter using his online handle, Odumodublvck noted that Pastor Adeboye had not insulted anyone on the platform and criticized the hypocrisy of those who engage in double standards, particularly in their treatment of religious figures.
