Ododo Meets Tinubu To Confer On Bolstering Security In Kogi

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu welcomed Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State to the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday to discuss the issue of insecurity in Kogi.

A statement from the governor’s Special Adviser, Ismaila Isah, confirmed the details of the meeting with journalists.

Isah stated that Ododo met with the president to update him on the current situation in Kogi, including the efforts of his administration to improve security and protect lives and property in all areas of the state.

The governor also commended President Tinubu for his quick response to food security challenges in the country.

He shared with the Nigerian leader the positive feedback received from the people of Kogi State after the distribution of food aid last month.

Governor Ododo assured that this program would continue throughout the year and bring long-term benefits to agricultural production in the state.

 He promised the president that he is dedicated to ensuring food security by clearing land, providing subsidies to farmers, and improving processing facilities and market access.

Ododo thanked President Tinubu for the quick and committed work done by the Federal Ministry of Works in finishing federal road projects in Kogi State on time.

He emphasized that the Abuja-Lokoja-Benin road is currently getting the attention it needs to show the determination of the federal government under President Tinubu to finish the project on time.

President Tinubu praised Governor Ododo for his impressive start as Governor of Kogi State and promised to continue supporting his efforts to transform the state.
