The Executive Committee and stakeholders of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the North East zone have reiterated the expulsion of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections.

This was revealed in a statement issued at the conclusion of the North East executive and stakeholders meeting on Friday in Bauchi.

Furthermore, the NNPP North East voiced its displeasure with the Appeal Court’s decision to dismiss Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Dr. Babayo Liman, NNPP National Vice Chairman North, reaffirmed sustained support for the governor and appealed for unity among NNPP members nationally in a communiqué read to journalists.

The summit also confirmed the dissolution of the NNPP’s Abba Kawu Ali-led National Working Committee, NWC.

Dr Boniface Aniebonan, the founder and life member of the Board of Trustees, had unanimous support from the North East NNPP executive committee and stakeholders.

The election of Dr. Tope Aluko as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Engr. Mohammed Babayo Abdullahi as Secretary was reaffirmed during the meeting.

The nomination of the new NWC, led by Dr. Agbo Major, was also confirmed.
