The federal government has renamed Minna Airport in Niger State after President Bola Tinubu.
Binta Mamman, the state’s Commissioner for Information, announced this during a media briefing at the Government House in Minna on Sunday. She mentioned that the airport will be officially opened by the president today.
Previously, the airport was named after the late Abubakar Imam, when 15 airports across the country were named after notable figures in Nigeria.
During his visit to Minna, President Tinubu will also be unveiling some modern farming equipment, as stated by Mamman.
“All is set for the Niger State Government to receive President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Minna, the state capital. During the President’s visit, he will commission the remodelled and upgraded terminal at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport,” she said.
