Nigerian artist Okafor Uchenna Victor, known as Mr. Real, has brought forth serious accusations against his counterpart Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, alleging a history of exploitation.

The collaboration between the two musicians on the 2018 hit ‘Issa Banger’ has taken a contentious turn, as Mr Real claimed on his Instagram page on Friday, December 8, 2023, that he has yet to receive his fair share of the revenue generated from the song.

Mr Real went further, accusing D’banj of reneging on his commitment to provide him with an SUV as part of his role as a brand ambassador for the CREAM platform.

In his words, “It has been years of you taking advantage of me @iambangalee. @iambangalee, I served as a brand ambassador to launch your @creamplatform company, traveled extensively to promote the brand without compensation. @iambangalee, the SUV you promised me as the Brand Ambassador of @creamplatform in Conjunction with @Myaccessbank is still pending. You made numerous promises with zero fulfillment. @mtnng @iambangalee, I haven’t received my 30% share of the revenue from Issabanger of the CRBT product (Caller Ring Back Tone). Let’s pause here for now.” (sic).

In a subsequent post on Saturday, December 9, 2023, Mr. Real shared a video of himself and D’banj dancing at an event. In this post, Mr. Real wrote, “This day, I thought I was set for life,” elucidating how the alleged outstanding payment from D’banj has strained his relationships, causing some friends to perceive him as being tightfisted.
