Popular Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola, who is also known as Naira Marley, and show promoter, Sam Larry, have been freed from detention by the Lagos State Police Command.

Naira Marley and Sam Larry were able to secure their release by fulfilling their bail requirements. Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, has confirmed their release.

Naira Marley and Sam Larry were granted bail in the amount of N20 million with three sureties by a Magistrate’s Court in Yaba, Lagos State on November 6.

The duo had been arraigned and remanded on October 6 for their alleged involvement in the case of a popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

The magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, instructed the defendants to surrender their passports and mandated them to report to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, on a weekly basis.

But, confirming their release, Hundeyin said, “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”
